My Dad and I spent 2 hours out in the cold on Sunday morning watching the Leonids meteor shower. We saw quite a few, though not as many as I had hoped for. We took with us no less than 4 cameras on sturdy tripods in the hopes of catching something on film/CCD. The films arent back yet, but I have been working my way through the digital frames.
Since I dont have a cable release for my DSLR, I was using its longest timed exposure of 30 seconds with my Zeiss Flektogon 35mm lens wide open at F2.4 and ISO 400.
This shot was taken as we were packing up, I wanted to show the cameras on watch and by extreme good fortune I caught a meteor while I was at it! one of only two frames out of over 100 shot with the DSLRs to actually catch anything.
