Morocco

A few random shots from my hollibobs in Morocco. Spent a few nights in Marrakech then a few at Essaouria by the beach which had top-notch seafood

Overall, a really fun and varied country to photograph. Rest of the set is here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/ccsawyer/sets/72157627287684975/

Nice photos, it's somewhere I'd like to go and experience once just for the food if anything!

Foods pretty nice, but the mint tea will turn your mouth inside out.

Really like these 2, first one reminds me of one I took on Madeira but yours has bags ;D more atmosphere than mine.

I'll try and go through the rest of the set later on flickr, looks like a great place to go and visit.

How did you find the Souks?

I hated it in there.

Food was awesome in places although actually there was quite a lot of fairly average tagines we had  :-\ One of the best food things is the barbecue stalls that appear every night in the Jemaa el Fna - awesome meat skewers for about £5

The souks were confusing at first, not helped by the fact they deliberately don't seem to publish a map which is actually representative of the place... Once you get your head around the rough geogaphy though the batering is excellent fun. I effectively do sales for a job now and its funny watching the same back and forth that happens on big deals happening over a bag of spices or a bit of carpet or something.
