Author Topic: Please help to choose the best digital camera from these two  (Read 998 times)

Hi folks.

Im going to buy a good digital camera.
Please help me to find the best one.
I have read some reviews of the popular models and now Im choosing between Kodak EASYSHARE ZD710 and Fujifilm FinePix F47fd. Ive done the comparison and what TestFreaks says me: http://www.testfreaks.co.uk/digital-cameras/compare/kodak-easyshare-zd710,fujifilm-finepix-f47fd/
Absolutely the same scores and the same prices. But I cant buy both.
Please let me know which camera from these two is the best? and why?

Thank you!

Obvious question: do you want something thats a compact or something more like an SLR? (these are called bridge cameras, because they are between the two) This is more than just size and appearance, its also versatility.

If yes: go for the Fuji

If no: go for the Kodak

The fuji has 9.1 million pixels while the Kodak 7.1 TBH you wont notice much difference for normal sized prints up to A4 at least. The Kodak though has an X10 zoom lens against the Fujis 3X, that will make a difference if you use it.

The Kodak is a more versatile camera for photography, but its bigger.

You can shove the Fuji in your pocket, but its not going to be able to pull distance things in.

If you havent guessed I have both types of camera, a compact for ease of carrage and a Panasonic FZ20 bridge camera. I use them for different things. At a push the Fuji would be better for a party animal and the Kodak better for a photographer.

Serious sums up the pros and cons of each nicely

basically, youre trying to compare apples to oranges. They are both very good at what they do (I have friends with both cameras and both are very happy), but they are designed to do different things.
