Holy thread ressurection!

I could seriously murder a 30" screen now.  24" seems so... model village.

Does anyone know if DELL monitors are rebranded for anyone else or if there are exact equivalents?  £700-£1000+ is a bit of a wallet killer.

The whole point of going for a Dell is the Zero Defect Warranty and 24 hour (business day) swap-out, thats the only reason i buy them lol (ok, and the fact the colours look fantastic) because all the other brands suck at after sales.

The only issue i've had is my 2209WA went wrong 3 times in 3 years but i've had 3 replacements, the latest one being a .5" smaller but its the latest IPS offering with Full HD, and i have 3 months left on the warranty so i'm happy with the outcome.

I've been offered a s/h 3007WFP HC for £595 but I think that's steep considering the model's age.

It is alot but it is also !/2 the price it was when it was launched.

Come on, you know the 30" panel is the daddy. I've seen one in the flesh, it's breathtaking. It makes my 24" panel look tiny!

Eagle If you’re going to do any gaming on the PC go for a 27” 30” is just far too big to sit up to your desk and use without the need to turn your head to see from one side of the screen to the other, a bloke I used to play World of Warcraft with got one and ended up having to sell it as constantly having to turn his head was driving him to distraction after a few weeks

Another thing to take into account is your need a lot more graphic’s power to run games at such high resolution going from 1920x1200 to 2560x1440 expect your FPS to take quite a hit, you really need SLI/Crossfire to be able to keep all the eye candy turned on (which you will want with such a stunning monitor) and the FPS at a decent rate IMO.
