Basically I've been up in London all week working, and needed something to do in the evening.

So here are some long exposures!

Great photos, but I couldn't tell you which are my favourites! Did you have to do much post-processing?

I was going to say to check on Flickr but for some reason the exif data isn't showing on Flickr?!?

However if you save the file from flickr and look at the properties, the data is there?

...anyway the one straight on (that looks like a clock ) was 53 seconds (F25 ISO200) and the last one with the boats on the right was only 20 seconds (F16 ISO200), I did do some at 2 mins (F32) but they must have not have been as good, although I think that was to do with the colour of the wheel, as it cycles through different colours.

In terms of post processing, I did a very little bit, but I didn't really need to, unless you were looking at them side by side you probably wouldn't notice any difference. Long exposure shots generally result in really good colours naturally anyway

Cheers, no not a lot of wind, but as long as the tripods reasonably sturdy it shouldn't be too much of a problem anyway.

I've wanted to take that shot for ages, but never been up in London for the evening with my kit..

I think with traffic a lot of the time it's luck, as there'll always be something that either decides to stop mid shot, or if you are going a fixed time exposure no doubt it'll end up closing the shutter at the wrong time! (Tip 1: Always use bulb mode and a remote, you at least have a bit of control mid shot then!)

The below shot was in Edinburgh last year, and I was in the same spot for about an hour before I got this one, and two buses were passing me either side. (Tip 2: Buses look cool as they have a bit more dimension than cars because of the internal lighting, the one in the London shot is also a bus.)

Aye now that's cool, good place to stand and the extra height of the busses does make a difference.
