on: October 02, 2010, 22:28:26 PM
What camera should I get.

Ive decided Im not knowledgeable enough to justify the D7000 or the 50/60D.

Therefore its between these three.

Tbh first Id choose whether the 500d or 550d is more of an option and then choose canon v nikon.

Any particular reason the 500d is in the running other than cost?

if you can afford the 550D then why consider the 500D?

Well I can afford the 550d but the question isnt a matter of if I can afford it or not, its if I need it.

I actually found a really sweet deal. Its a 50d with a 25-135mm lens for $1100.

If the q is whether you need the 550, you surely dont need the 50d?

Question 1: Are you going to lose this camera again?

Yes? - Get the cheapest
No? - Go to Question 2

Question 2:
What did you use your old camera for most of all?

I am but I can get it shipped to my US address and then sent over, so I avoid VAT etc.

get a 50d with a tamron 17-50 lens

then get decent a 50-150 or 70-200

edit - or just go for a 60d or 7d
