Where do I start

ok, got 99 pics from going to Edinburgh, most are of the same things tbut at different exposures etc.

Youll have to add me as a friend on Flickr to view the images. http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixel-eater/sets/72157622970946173/

Id like opinions on editing them, where would I start with these? Ive never done snowy landscape stuff before.

I like this one, think it should be cropped at the bottom though so to come above the green house and with a more dramatic sky in the back ground.

I think I like this one, but its needs twisting so its not the leaning tower of edinburgh

This one cropped to take the road out and the sign at the left and a more dramatic sky edited in

There really isnt many I like there but I think a few of those pics can be turned into ok pictures.

Opinions please.

Ive made a new set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixel-eater/sets/72157623114696032/

I think this will be the 1st photo Ill discuss:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixel-eater/4226289436/in/set-72157623114696032/

I think it needs cropping from the top to have less sky or from the bottom to have less forground in. Probably less sky. With a bit more red in the sky too

What do you guys think?

first of rotate the picture around 1.06°

to get the sky blue is mask out every thing but the sky,
in channels paint the sky
red channel: 40% black
green channel: 20% black
play with percentage to your taste

cropping out some sky and foreground, and possibly the black building on the right as it fight for attention with Princes St on the left, and the spires are a nicer focal point.
