Changed the oil back to mobil one (fifty bloody quids worth) and the gear oil (sixty quids worth!!) and the oil filter, and a set of grade 7 plugs
Cant wait to give it a good thrashing

What gear oil do you use? Im using Silkolene Silktran Syn 5, yours sounds silly expensive :o
I think any engine youre looking after is worth a good 0w40.

Using redline MT90 gear oil atm - its £15 per quart, and I need 4 quarts unfortunately as I have a 2-way limited slip diff (Which makes for extremely uncomfortable low speed cornering)
Im going looking for some really good oil for this new box to put on the GTi, re-doing the gear box linkage on Saturday as one of the balls has shattered in half :(

Last time I went on the drag strip I did a time of 17.2 I think it was and then my back box clip fell off, meaning I had to take my back box off as it was dangerous and I drove home with an very loud amplified noise of my exhaust as it was a sunday evening and no-where was open to get one.

had major problems on the rolling road after a flawless on the road mapping session. Wouldnt hold any boost above 1.4 bar - a bastarding boost leak because my bendy pipe wouldnt seal on the intercooler pipes, and there is a restriction in my exhaust manifold (the adapter) causing the turbo to glow like the sun.
I have the exhaust manifold off right now and am getting a new adapter made up. Have also ordered a load more silicon elbows and am going to roll-tip a few more intercooler pipes and get rid of the sh*tty bendy pipe.
Encouragingly though, even with a MASSIVE boost leak at 1.4 bar she did 488 bhp before I had to cut off for the day after an injector seal blew out due to backfire caused by the boost leak.
Rebooked for 4 weeks time (Only time I could get) and we reckon 600bhp should be what were looking at at 1.8/1.9 bar with no bastarding boost leaks

Do you ever have problems when you drive your little AX and then you get in some powerful car and its a totally different set-up, any problems trying to figure out where the biting point is or anything like that?
488 doesnt sound as good as 600 though! Im looking forward to being able to post the video of that. Its a sickener knowing it will easily do another 100+ but a stupid thing holding me back
The only real problem I have is the comfort level - I have proper racing seats in the Mr2 and theyre really uncomfortable.
The clutch is also really annoying because its so grabby - and the 2-way diff makes you look like a total amateur when youre doing a slow turn!

welded large lip on to all my intercooler pipes
replaced green stripe hose with silicon elbows and aluminium tube
replaced crap wolfkatz injector seals with my own adapters
ordered new manifold adapter
Booked back on rolling road on March 2nd.
