Reminds me of the day at college some twats decided to drive down the colleges main driveway in their "cool" car. They got half way before they bottomed out on a speedbump. That was classic, everyone applauded.

I learnt to drive in Metro, bloody crumple zones on wheels!

A bigger engine just means itll crash faster and squash you flatter on impact... :gag:

I think it might be shat look.

Basically, morons in the UK with the likes of VWs (old golfs and jettas etc) who rust the bonnet, and strap sh*t on to the roof and think its rat look, and cool.

In reality, they look like f**kwits with stuff stuck to the roof of their car.

rat look - american 1930s coupes.

i saw a banged up white mark 1 clio with a rusted bonnet, f**k it was awful, and you know that they actually put effort into that sh*t

Id be tempted to find out where the car was kept and go clean the bonnet.

Precisely why I avoided commenting on the bonnet.

its awful
its got a rusted bonnet and shiny wheels and other bodywork

if it was ALL rust and sunbleached paintwork then yea, at least thatd be consistant

Ive seen a similar one but with the rust effect painted on and then coated with a varnish, it also had the headlight intact

Its all very reminiscent of the Vinyl roof coverings that were put on some cars. :shudders:

My favourite is still a dark blue BMW M3 with a golden stars effect on the paintwork.

There is a lot of history behind that car, it has gone through many different phases including a heavy scrape/ impact crash and rebuilt again.

Check the finished revision pictures at the bottom, im sure ive posted one picture of it like that on here before, somewhere :)

Ah yes, "that" E28.

People seem to think that "rat" takes talent.

WRONG.  Rat is find in barn, MOT, lower, drive.

This is rat - "sorry Mark for the VW Content"

Lived in a desert all its life, the paints scorched off.

Not rat

Stick on tat, does not maketh a rat.

I think that desert car with scorched paint is about the only pic of one of these cars which I think doesnt look plain awful.

If its the one Im thinking of then underneath its a VW Beetle in a different bodyshell. TBH, they are very nice, although relatively rare.

I think you are right.

Ive seen that car before and it isnt as natural rat as soopa makes out, it has had ALOT of hard work to look like that.
