Need a bastard re-gas and I bet it's top £££ because we're coming up to summer, anyone know of any dealzzzz?
I'd do it for free for you... but guess it's probably more in petrol then you'd have to pay to have it done normally
just did my sisters, her's was £60 last time

Ooooh I did not know you can get kits!

looks easy enough!
That said for the price probs not worth it :-X
http://www.f1autocentres.co.uk/air-conditioning.php fotty quid
When I had my first MX-5, because it was an '89 it needed some sort of special gas that was no longer available to be regassed (banned for CFCs or something :dunno: ).
I would have had to drive to some specialist in North Yorkshire to have it done... never did in the end, and haven't had a car with aircon since! I gather if you are paying to have it regassed somewhere decent they will probably clean out the filters, etc too?
f1auto empty then fill it for fotty quid, a clean is £15 extra, no doubt they'll insist on it tbh :-\
my dad tried one of those kits before I bought the proper refrigeration gear... the kit was pretty crap, didn't have enough gas in it :-(
they'll suck the system empty because it's the easiest way to check for leaks (if any moisture gets into the system it'll block it)
a clean/flush will just be them blowing through the system with dry nitrogen.... don't bother with that, it won't do anything anyway
if there's any crud/junk/etc.. in there that could be blown out, you might as well give up.... you'll never get it all out, and it only takes a tiny bit of crap to block the expansion valve and stop it working at all
if anyone local needs there's doing (or if you're passing this way) just give me a shout, I've got all the gear, plus a nice selection of gasses... including the ones you can;t buy any more :-)
