After swearing I wasnt gonna do too much with this one Im afraid the bug has bitten again and plans are afoot.
Had the car dynod a couple of weeks after I got it and it made 330 bhp and 340 torque - slightly disappointing tbh given the spec of the car so have the following bits ready to go on this weekend.. :twisted:

That said 400/450 horsepower is a nice figure 8-)
Why go for a top mount when a front mount will provide much better cooling?
You will need to upgrade that fuel pump as well Id imagine. The walbro is good for outright flow but really poor at providing good pressure.
I have one as my lift pump, and a Bosch 044 pump as the high pressure pump feeding from the swirl pot. My goals are around 600hp at 1.8 bar or so, and I also run 1000cc injectors, but I know of a lot of guys who switched to two pumps that were running the single walbro very early on.
Could have saved a packet on the guages too - defi are a total rip off

I hear you on the fuel pump but not aware that anyone running big power scoobs going for bigger than the walbro - maybe a fuel pressure regulator though ?
Sorry but I love the Defis - they are a perfect match for the main instruments as well. Found some second hand so wasnt too bad anyways..
Tis a bit meh, looks like one step up from a chavmobile with that dodgy spoiler and scoop. Gotta be better options than that.
