Title: Anyone else in the Great North Run?
Post by: mr_roll on July 12, 2009, 15:19:21 PM
I am.

Doing it for charity.

Got to get used to running a bit further and a bit further by the end of this month.

I can quite easilly, some days, do 5K. I want to be upto 10K at the end of the month.

Im not a fast runner as I have small legs, but 5K is over in 30 mins (5 mins of which is a warm up and not up to speed).

Well I did it. Time on the board going under was 2hrs 46mins.

My time will be little shorter however as it took me a while to go under the start board. :nana:

Congrats!

I must admit I was surprised and amazed the other week when I read about Eddy Izzard running a stupid number of marathons in 50 days. It was something like 4-5 marathons a week for 6 or 7 weeks ><

Congratulations on finishing the race. Ive never done the GNR before (only ever done races in France and Germany). Is it a half-marathon distance race?

Cheers
