Title: Anyone feel sorry for Sunderland?
Post by: Serious on March 26, 2006, 02:47:27 AM
10 points from 31 games has to be a record low for any Premiership club and they have got a good chance of breaking their own record for lowest scoring team during a season. :|

OTOH :mutley:

didnt they get 13 from 38 in their last brief visit to the premiership.

I think thats the record they want to try and avoid.

I do, friday night their fire alarms were going off all night because of the fog. :(  Security would reset them and 2 minutes later they would go off again.

Feel sorry for Sunderland, nahhhh.

Well alright maybe a little, would be better if they stayed up then Newcastle would have a guaranteed 6 points every year :D

I would feel sorry for the sometimes but I work in Sunderland and lets just say the attitude of a guy I work with stinks sometimes, so sod em.

Bye Sunderland do come back again soon, people need something to laugh at.

Obviously Russel didnt attend the end of season playoff match where Sunderland kicked Newcastles collective butt and got promoted instead of the Toon army.

The Magpies play was so bad that the Sunderland fans joined in the chant of sack the board!

Why feel sorry? If they dont belong there then they dont lol.

Maybe I can be a tad sorry for them having had McCarthy as manager.

Yes they did. Highest points tally for winning div 1. Reading should beat it this year tho.

I feel sorry for Sunderland, I dont like to see anyone humiliated, unless its the Skunks.

I was only there because I was doing first aid cover, it was one of the nastiest matches I have ever seen with several pitch invasions towards the end when it was obvious that the Magpies were well and truly screwed.

Mine too, although I tend to watch on telly rather than visiting a ground.

Well, if they played better they might win more.

Perhaps the nancy-boys that play for Sunderland should get off their Ferrari driving arses and graft. That includes the coaching staff. Have fun in the "Championship" there lads.

Cheers

I wasnt touching this thread until wed played the great unwashed up the road, and Im glad I didnt.
Yes, were probably going to break the record for the lowest number of points in the top flight.  A record not held by us at all but by Stoke City.  Of course football didnt exist pre Sky now did it?
Dont feel sorry for us.  This seasons mediocrity may well herald the dawning of a new era for SAFC.  Herea hoping.....

Could have been worse, At least I wasnt the one with a full imprint of a police dogs nashers on my rear. Quite a few ended up injured so it was a hectic experience but not the worst.
