Embarrasing? No... Serbia and Montenegro are a class side, its just that Argentina are on a different planet... England never had a chance before the tournament started, this has just confirmed it, compair and contrast, England 1.5goals per game against T&T and Paraguay. Argentina have just put SIX past a side which conceeded ONE goal in their entire qualification...

Well, S&Ms defence is a good un in any case, (England conceeded to Northern Ireland in their qualifier and subsequently lost, so there are few easy games anymore) and regardless, England are not in the same technical league as Argentina...

We beat them 3-2 last year in a friendly and they had near enough the same team as they have at this years WC trouble is the way we are playing at the moment we wont repeat that victory as it seems we have world class players but no world class team atm.

It was not played with the usual gusto of a friendly.  It was very much played like a World Cup game.  Neither side wanted to lose.

Any team can have an off day and providing theirs comes on their match with England then we can stuff em ;)

Come on, dont get giddy....

If you are telling me England on current form and with current personnel will beat Argentina, youre on glue.

Where did I say that?  I didnt insinuate or indicate that I think England playing as they are have any hope of getting a draw against Argentina let alone a win.

If you notice, I was commenting on the friendly game which was played with the passion and determination of two teams that wanted to beat the other.

Argentina on the other hand are by far the best team in this competion
