Title: Battery draining
Post by: Pete on February 11, 2010, 21:38:59 PM
Ok, so on an old car you:

1) Put a multimeter set to milliamps on the battery (r-to-r, b-to-b).
2) If its drawing a bit of current pull fuses one at a time til the current drops off.

Right?

i should know this really being an electrician but i think an ammeter needs to be connected in series with the + of the battery to read the current going through.

yes in series.... youll blow it up if you put it accross the terminals :o

to measure amps you go in series

to measure volts you go in parallel
