Looks good enough for me, but doubtless some of the more specialist will be along later to say your choice is rubbish.
Only little issue is if you are going to be doing all road work it might have been better to go for slicker tyres.
Ok for road use, I wouldnt attempt to take it off road though, Its not designed for it. More of an "off road look", like these current "softroaders"
An off road "styled" bike with knobbies thats not really an off road bike with no fenders and fall is upon us. Oy vey! Might be salvagable with some new tires and bits, but depressingly Taiwan-o-generic as-is. This is the sort of bike the industry loves to sell us, but its not really good at anything. Soul-less.
its great, loads of trees in bmouth where i just took my bike along the normal route to uni, knobbly tyres got grip through all the leaf litter :) good purchase.
one issue is the sh*tty handles, some grip tape would be excellent instead of the rubber handle bar "mutt-mincers" which seem to be on there.
felt a bit wobbly taking it on the road for the first time, but on the return journey i felt confident enough to go all the way on the road back to my house though rush hour traffic.
on the return leg i was coming up to where i locked my bike by my uni and it stood out, all nice and clean an new.
i love new toys :D
purchases planned for tomorrow, mud guards and maybe a rack for the back. oh and lights are an essential item. :)
Lights: Head to SJSCYCLES.co.uk and buy the Smart Halogen set, for Ã,£24.99 its a steal, I have them on my bike now, and its insane how bright they are. I can see clearly well out to 10 - 20feet. Even in bright sunshine the spotlight can be seen about 10 foot in front of me.

bought some lights from the same place for about Ã,£14.99, saw the same set in argos for a pound extra so i know i cant really go wrong. also i bought some new grips and they are a pita to put on. but they are farrr softer and nicer to hold than the hard standard ones :)
lol i went out yesturday night without any lights and nearly died 3 times within the space of a 2 minute cycle to the shops. lights are a must.
They are also a legal requirement.
I got a dressing down for not having a front light a few weeks ago.
FOCK, well good thing they are on now lol
