Pug 206 GTI (180BHP) for £1500
Anything i should look for / do to make it nicer/run better? :P
It goes like Stink and im surprised i can fit in it at 6ft 8, it has the manifold rattle like my 307 had its a common issue with the inner manifold that needs to have its ends welded.
Overall im happy, did i mention it goes like stink :P
Sell it?
All the quality cars I showed you, and you go for that....
For shame.

It was 3 miles away and rushed decision tbh :P
Fair enough :D
Im sick of getting wet on the way to work and on the way home cus i need to use public transport :P
Speaking to a bloke later about service and cam belt, should be nice when its been done.
howd u manage to get a 180 for £1500?

See the above, Service / Cam Belt due but i know someone who is well priced, it also a broken climate control unit, which are £45 2nd hand, wired in a switch to bypass the unit and it works fine :P I have de-mist function! :)
Quick cars indeed!
timing belt isnt hard to do on those - make sure and do the tensioner and maybe the water pump at the same time.
getting it done right is absolutely critical, as those are as sensitive to improper tension and setup as the mi16.
2.5 hours should see it.
It would appear its not a 180 and ive been conned, the 180 didnt come out until 2003.
Great..
bugger. Thought the £1500 was too good to be true otherwise id go and part ex my 206 tomorrow
Got my cash back, going to look at a Prelude VTI later, any pointers? :P Its had the cam belt done
Unlucky, the hunt begins again!
Want me to roll out the luxobarges?
Couldnt fit in the Prelude... and it was nice, well looked after! Also had a number plate ending in CBR could have possibly sold that to a biker :P

Celica GT4?
Back to the drawing board. Im so sad i gotta catch the bus again tommorow.
dunno your budget, but you get a lot of a8/s8 for your money.
not much use if you do lots of miles for a lankster theyre excellent cars.
Matt
So tempted by a cheapo luxobarge, its the running costs I doubt I could live with though.
Jaimz
what about a mitsi Galant.
They are nice looking cars, quick and pretty big too.
If i could afford the fuel I would be driving around in a Lexus LS400 right now. Jap rolls royce for shed money.

the legnum VR4 is good, but in my experience - not reliable at all.
subaru legacy GTB twin turbo is good and cheap, but suffers from a valley of death in the power delivery.
What is the budget?
Not much, 2-2.5k max
