well my nice cheap ride is amazingly broken in now, no more rattles, chokes and assorted other worries, as i now know if it isnt going to fall off, just live with it, my legs are toned and i am a bit faster in the boat thanks to my uptake of cycling everywhere. i also dont go out of the higher 4 gears now as i see it as "the easy option" when i am going anywhere.
one thing i have noticed, my front brake does f**k all in the wet, coming up to a downhill junction  i nearly had a Mondeo facelift the other day coming home :) i had to lock the back wheel just to scrub off speed, and also on the front rim where the "quadrants" of the rim meet i notice a noise as the pad goes over the top of them when under heavy braking.
other than that i love it, its still spangly new compared to the other bikes i see on the road, and i am weirdly proud of it when i see it.
what a toy :D pics coming soon.
Emery cloth + Koolstop Salmon pads = fewer dental bills. ;)
