will a diesel car run on central heating oil? is it the same thing anyway?

also is there a difference between central heating oil and kerosene?

kerosene isnt lubricating enough and will kill your fule pump pretty quick....

theres 2 types of heating oil, 28sec and 32sec....

I think the 32sec oil is red diesel, not sure what exactly the other one is...

red diesel will be find in you diesel car, but if you get caught with it on public roads, theyll take the car away and crush it... if anyone sees you using it and reports you, theyll come out and dip you, and crush the car... even if its on your drive etc...

what kind of car is it ?  some can run on veg oil, and if not (and youre going to use lots of fuel) you can make bio diesel at home.....  ;)

I just allways wondered if it was the same. A lad in work mentioned the oil for his boiler was 40odd p a litre today and that reminded me to ask.

If I was going to do it would buy a crap old rover or pug diesel, would probably also run a 50/50mix.

you need to prove you have oil central heating to be able to buy it...
its even cheaper than red diesel. we pay over £1 a gallon for red & less £1 for the heating stuff to run a generator

if i was going to do it I would just pay my mate for it from his 2000litre tank. The illegalness seems like more trouble than it is worth tho really, I dont do enough miles.

waste vegetable oil is cheaper if you can find a source, and is easily filtered.

Just need a car with a Bosch injector pump.

A Rover with a peugeot XUD engeine would be right up your street ;)
