I finished the Shakespeare marathon on Sunday in 4 hours 25 minutes.
Had never ran more than 15 miles before and even then, that was only twice two weeks before.
Was on for a sub 4 hour time until the 23rd mile, then I just couldnt bare the pain any more and had to walk large chunks of the last 4 miles.
Still, really pleased I finished it. It wont be the last.
Congrats. Awesome work.
Would be great to be able to say youve run a marathon but i dont think its something ill ever do.
I see it as a massive waste of time and knees but still have admiration for anyone with the determination to complete one, so well done Will.
I have similar view on them as clockd, that sort of strain on the body however fit just isnt healthy imo.
Saying that though it is a massive achievement congratulations.
Sounds like you went too quick at the start if you were f**ked later on.
Drop your speed down for first 10 miles and then speed it up in last 6 if youre feeling good.
First one 4hr 25 == sub 4hr in future.
Im gonna be running the Dallas marathon in Dec if I can get back into shape :)
Is Debbie doing it too?
He said running not doing ;)
