Seems a few people got into trouble last night with deep puddles
Unfortunatly I was among that number, just didnt see the puddle/lake on the roundabout until i was into it, didnt hit it overly fast but it was proper deep, luckily the damage is just part of the undertray being ripped off dragging on the floor, a fair number of people have destroyed their engines in a similar way.
:( was waiting for the RAC to come and help till 1am! not a good way to spend an evening.
Ouch could have been worse but still not great though.
Have to say, nothing much to write about in my neck of the woods and I don't think I'm too far from where you are. It was peeing it a down a bit last night at 2am when I was getting back from the cinema but no flooding or anything around Fareham/Pompey I'm aware of.
I came out of the cinema about 11ish and it had been raining hard, was pouring down when i was driving back, drains full and backed up rivers down the roads, not fun. Saw a guy crawl past me with the exhaust hanging off his car after the same puddle i hit.
Its allways worth knowing what side and how low the air intake is on your car as if you go through a puddle and suck some water up its bye bye engine.
£140 later and its fixed, not bad considering that was a BMW main dealer!
