Title: Dyno Sheet from yesterday..
Post by: Bartop on April 22, 2006, 13:32:08 PM
Heres mine - done yesterday at Powerstation in Tewkesbury. Im afraid I have no clue about these things so if you guys could give some pointers on what looks good/bad that would be great.
Its a MY06 2.5 FXT - engine mods are 3" Milltek turbo back system, VF39 Turbo, 255lph Walbro Fuel Pump and Tek3 remap. Unfortunately I couldnt get the upgraded intercooler on so had to stick with the oem one but plan to upgrade asap.
Cheers
Pete

What work did you get done on the cylinder head to help use the bigger potential from the turbo?

none..the engine in the FXT is exactly the same as that in the new 06 Impreza Sti. Only difference is the Forester has a small turbo - TD04 as opposed to a VF39. So a turbo swap with an exhaust change plus remap basically gives you better that an Sti with PPP.

Transmission loss is high with the AWD but concensus seems to be that Powerstation is screwed on that front..

At the wheels, probably with 4wd drivetrain losses

Wouldnt want a Subaru Justy. They are about 50bhp or something, and AWD

I assume this is the engine sister of the accomplished 680KG TU24 equipped AX Sport?

30,000 of them were made vs 6000 of the faster AX sport

My missus has one, still waiting for it back from the Insurance company, (BTW, if your insurance is underwritten by UK insurance ltd, pray you never need to claim)
