credit due to trinidad & tobago though - that glen bloke of theirs made some good efforts + crouch managed to fluff what should have been an earlier goal for england - still he more than made up for it later - gerrard was on form as usual at the end - awesome second goal

Yeah, trinidad & tobago did a good job, hard though, all out defence is hard to crack, I mean Most of the 2nd half they had 11 people behind the ball ^^
Sweeden could not crack them, so although England still have problems you have to give them credit.
Crouch and Joe Cole really are disasters imvho.
Joe Cole is a feking useless ball hog. Why oh why everyone thinks he is skillfull is beyond me, he does telegraphed step overs and then 9 times in 10 either loses the ball or misses the shot.
Crouch is a good target man for crosses BUT if the defence have a tall centre back Crouch is rendered useless as he doesnt appear to be able to challenge without fouling the opponent.
That said; Im obviously happy he scored but I do worry about us getting through the later stages, especially if were depending on Crouch for goals and J. Cole for link up play !
Still it was a blinding game and I feel a little bit for T&T as they really did play their game well. Oh and Ill be Yorke wont be getting any tonight, or this week. A Gerrard volley to the nads is never going to be good for the wedding tackle :D

Crouch makes me laugh, the missus sat down and said "whos the lanky twat"... two things. First, Crouch is a lanky twat, and second it highlights what a classy bird i married.
Joe Cole, glory hunting ball hog, how many times did he drag it to centre of the pitch and loose off some "shot" at the defences ankle that got in the way and got about as near to the goal as Mr Robinson.
Anyhoo, we won and are all but through to the next round. 2 clean sheets, no bother.
No way on that kind of performance will we win, but not too bad.
Gerrard is (nice goal by the way) a bit overrated, nothing amazing. Oh and wtf was Lampard on? Great player but holy crap my daughter could have put one of them away, and shes 3.

Since they posed such little potency going forward, why was Caragher not moved forward into a defensive midfielder role to allow Lampard and Gerrard to (hopefully) run riot on their defence. Any one-on-one that came about would have been prevented with Caragher in that role.
What is wrong with passing to feet? We used to be good at doing that. Now its hump it upfield and we may get it. Assuming they dont just kick it out of play like they did yesterday.

It is scary that we seem to be relying on Rooney to win us the game. I thought we has world class players that and create and score chances.
