Title: England Team Named
Post by: DEViANCE on May 08, 2006, 16:30:23 PM
Paul Robinson (Tottenham)
David James (Manchester City)
Robert Green (Norwich)

Gary Neville (Manchester United),
Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United),
John Terry (Chelsea),
Ashley Cole (Arsenal),
Sol Campbell (Arsenal),
Jamie Carragher (Liverpool),
Wayne Bridge (Chelsea);

David Beckham (Real Madrid),
Michael Carrick (Tottenham),
Frank Lampard (Chelsea),
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool),
Owen Hargreaves (Bayern Munich),
Jermaine Jenas (Tottenham),
Stewart Downing (Middlesbrough),
Joe Cole (Chelsea),

Aaron Lennon (Tottenham);
Wayne Rooney (Manchester United),
Michael Owen (Newcastle),
Peter Crouch (Liverpool),
Theo Walcott (Arsenal).

Looks ok imo, a few dodgy desicions tbh.

Defence looks very solid shouldnt have much problem there, the midfield is good except I dont rate Carrick, Hargreaves or Downing at all. Attackers are abit crap tbh, Rooney is well and truely out and owen wont be at his best. Walcott hasnt even played in the prem yet let alone the WC.

Do you want to edit that so you dont jinx it.

One of the problems is that we have so many world class Centre Backs.  We have good strikers, and two world class strikers imo.  If both Owen & Rooney were at their best, we would only need to take three or 4.   Wallcott is a strange gamble.
