Title: Eventful day!
Post by: soopahfly on April 26, 2006, 20:38:15 PM
Been sorting little niggles out with my car this afternoon, quite pleased I got them done tbh.

Ive:

Changed front brake pads (still need some new wear sensors)
Re-soldered the REM lead to my sub
Got my sub repaired (awesome audio shop, dropped it off ~6:30pm, picked it up  at 8!)
Got wheels re-balanced.
Discussed audio options with my fav ICE supplier and booked car in for work.

More to come this weekend, where I lay a nice fat new amp power lead, RCAs and rewire the front speakers to the boot.

Lovely Jubbly.

sounds like you got abit done then.

arnt the wear sensors built into the new pads?
on mine there is just a metal pad inside the pad with a feed to it that gets exposed as the pad wears out and when it contacts with the disk it brings a light on the dash on.

Ive got an Astra Sport.

The pad sensors are seperate, they clip into the caliper.  Vaux want Ã,£20 each, Autovaux want Ã,£5.

Im suprised by all the little features my car has compared to many others, even today, My car will tell me on the little screen whether I need oil, screenwash, Pads, and bulbs.

Not seen many cars that tell you all that.
