Title: Fails to start when hot.
Post by: Eagle on July 26, 2010, 22:52:10 PM
My car starts just fine when cold - but after a stop on a journey, it occasionally fails to start again.  Starter motor is turning ok (and sounding right) but its just not kicking-in.  I then give it five/10 minutes and it starts.

This is an intermittent fault - anyone know whats up?

Carbon fouling somewhere?

Megane Petrol, btw.

:)

New(er) Megane?

Failing to start when warm
QuoteFinally I have a working Megane 2. The problem was with the crank shaft sensor wire which was damaged.
Found on Renault forums

2001.  Hmm.  Might be a myriad things I guess.  Will have to run her in for a check-up.

Ta.
