Parked outside the restaurant we were at the other night. The F430 was nicer though.

least its a right-hand-drive.

makes me laugh when you see someone drive past in a left-hand-drive 355 around here..

bit pointless if you ask me, cant exactly use it properly if you cant see past the vehicle in front!!

Wankeurs, tbh. Id rather tootle about in a rust flecked 82 F150 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_F-Series), and put the money to better use: half goes to a tour of SE asian massage parlors with "happy endings", the other goes to Oxfam. Renting a day at the track with such a beast is one thing, but driving it daily to make up for your tiny cock is laughable.

love the "got a small cock with that sort of car" opinion its gotta be jelousy surely?, some of us love cars so want sommit a bit special.

I want a ferrari not to make up for anything but because i love the noise the look and everything about them, sure it wont be driven over winter but yes ill be out in it every summer and to hell with what other people think, its what i want so its what ill get and ill have worked damn hard to get it, so screw the world if they cant work for what they want sod em!!

if you can afford to run it as a daily car then whats the problem?

Driving such a car as a daily driver is like trying to keep a straight face while wearing crampons at the office.

Such a car belongs at a track or at a rallye. For day to day use, youre paying 10X the price of a proper city scoot, getting a sh*t harsh ride with no storage, and potential youll never be able to use. Its like paying 100K to a perpetual hooker thatll suck you off to within 10 seconds of orgasm, then punch you in the teeth.

It all depends on the driver.

Some use it for posing and making up of other defecits in their lives,

some hammer the arse off them and drive them for what they really are - a thoroughbred drivers-car with pretty good performance.

In all the track events & car shows Ive been to, Ive only ever seen one ferrari going round a track.

So Id say that 80+ % of ferrari owners just want it for posing ;)  shame really...

driving such a car as a daily driver lol

cars are built to be driven and even on the shortest drive my car gets used to a fair amount of its potential and dont assume i mean i go speeding everywhere

and if it belonged on a track it wouldnt have leather and air con etc. etc.

I can see where Max is coming from though

its a status thing isnt it, driving around in something like that.

and I dont think hes impressed by such things ;) quite the contrary.

I kinda agree, but I do always look at someone in a Ferrari... not becuase I think they are cool, but because they usually notice... and think they are cool themselves, and then give the car a whole load of grief.

They are happy as they think they are all that

and I am happy as I get to hear a Ferrari going for some high revs :D

its a shame that its a status thing, personally i think its just a bloody nice car and that itd be a good thing to drive lol if you could get the same car for Ã,£30,000 brand new then itd be less of a status thing and still just awesome, assuming they could build it the same for Ã,£30,000 which they couldnt

Id buy and drive the Murcielago I took around the track all the time if I could afford it and keep a second car for shopping and dirty work. I love that car and every moment sat in it would be time well spent, as tbh I get little satisfaction from driving these days, a car like that would change it. It was actually a good drive too in low gears; surprisingly smooth, they make them much more functional these days.

You see quite a lot more expensive wheels in NI than in the rest of the UK - Doesnt Ballymena have the most millionaires per square mile than anywhere in the UK?

Bloody farmers or drug dealers the lot of them :)

I know North Down is, on average, the most expensive bit of Northern Ireland, but its more a high average than millionaireville. We do have a lot of nice high end (7 Series, 911s etc) round here though.

Average Northern Ireland house price is Ã,£154000, dont know how that compares to the rest of the UK.

Id rather have a Nissan Skyline R34 (uk, not import - so of course, its V-Spec, whatever that means) in Bayside blue.

that or a 996 Turbo.

ferrari killers tbh - a standard skyline can trash a 360 Modena  :P

ferraris aint all about speed tho, they are about style and handling lol
Title: Re:Ferraris are getting common round here

The Skyline can corner very well - It only has 280bhp in standard trim supposedly - with less displacement and cylinders. (ok its got turbos!) so it must be better at brakes and corners, to be faster.

Ill have to find the video that shows it all - Its a Best Motoring one, has a 911 Turbo, Nissan Skyline R34, Modena, NSX and ..was it a Corvette or something?

Its a great video, the 911 wins with the Skyline coming close behind (Skyline catches up with the Porsche on corners, but obviously being jap with the 280bhp limitation lacks the torque (by a long way! 911 is VERY torquey) & bhp of the 911, so cant overtake)

Style.. yes the Ferrari is a winner there. You wouldnt get a skyline to pose in, they are brutish and angular looking.

mmm - I spy a green eyed monster

youd have a point if the owner had spunked all his cash on that car & couldnt afford anything else - however Id suspect that most people who own cars like that have plenty of spare cash kicking about & can afford to buy as many SE asian women as they want too.

My boss has a Ferrari 430 as well as a Merc SL55 AMG. Thats like saying why does 1 person need 2 cars but hes got so much money he can afford to do that.

Going back on the issue that a sports car isnt suitable for daily driving, the same goes for all the SUVs too.

Too right and every SUV driver is infinitely more of a prick than the Ferrari driver. A Ferarri driver uses the mirrors - even if only to watch you disappear.

exactly

tbh.. there are a few people in my office who drive flash cars - though most of them get the tube or bus to work and tbh.. most of them are pretty down to earth types - they just happen to like fast cars and happen to be able to afford them.
