The clutch on my bike has stopped working and wont disengage for some reason.
So when I knock it down into 1st, even with the clutch leaver pulled in the bike just jerks and stalls as if I did it with the clutch out.
I have had a play and took something apart but to be honest I have no idea what is going on.
here is a pic of the clutch and a video of what pulling the clutch leaver does to the clutch assy

I have replaced/bled the clutch fluid and that seems ok.
The master cylinder seems to be ok as when you pull the leaver with the bleed nipple open plenty of fluid comes out.
as you can see in the vid the slave cylinder must be dong something as the pressure plate is moving, I dont know if it is supposed to move more than that though?
Any ideas?
Thanks alot
you see when you pull the clutch in - do the other plates become loose enough to move with your fingers?
If not the plates are stuck together and you will have to strip it down, soak them in oil and reassemble.
Before you do that, try driving along at 10mph, dump the clutch, and lock the back brake up 10 or so times.
yeah the plates can all be moved individually pretty easily when the clutch is pulled in.
I tried the rolling it along and putting it in gear and the back wheel locks and sometimes forces the engine to turn over.
Today I have managed to get the clutch to disengage but it still isnt right.
I stripped it all down again and figured out that is was doing it even with ALL the clutch plates removed, it wasnt doing that before I stripped it down the first time.
The lock nut the holds the inner clutch against the outer clutch was tightened up to 60Nm which is correct but this was causing the inner not to be able to turn against the outer. (Inner is connect to gearbox, outer to engine)
I looked at the workshop manual and it showed a thrust washer that was no where to be seen on my bike, I thought I might have lost/dropped it when I took it all apart the first time but it was nowhere to be seen.
luckily I have huge box of spares that bought on ebay ages ago and I found a washer that looks the part in there, so put that on and put it all back together and torqued the lock nut back up to 60Nm.
The inner and outer spin freely against each other now, but that just takes me back to where I was initially as Im sure it did that before even with the fault.
While I was doing all the above I left the clutch plates soaking in oil and after I had done all that I refitted them and put the pressure back on.
The bike is a lot better but still not right, when you put it in gear it goes in without stalling but revs drop and the bike creeps forward quite alot with the clutch leaver fully in so the clutch is still sticking abit, also the gear change is pretty stiff.
Any ideas? sorry for the essay.

got it working eventually not even sure what I did but I stripped it down again, removed that washer I put in cleaned everthing and put it all back together and it worked, been using it to go to work all week.
