Make them look like formula 3 cars, lol.
WHAT THE?
Quoteteams have the option of employing a kinetic energy recovery system (Kers).
The Kers system, similar to those in hybrid road cars, works by storing energy that would otherwise be wasted as heat during braking and reapplying it during acceleration to provide a boost in power.
I wonder how theyll do that..... off the top of my head I cant think of a lightweight system they could use... I dont know much about F1... but the weight of the car must be a major concern for the designers...

Electric motors instead of normal brakes would be the only option, especially if they used capacitors instead of batteries. They do have some weight available and any additional acceleration boost is probably worthwhile as the engine size is limited.
They might also use nanophosphate batteries similar to those on the
KillacycleAnyone think their car accelerates fast this bike does 0-60 in under 1 sec...
It started off with 1.75 sec/quarter mile and burned out the electric motor before completing the run. Electric costs are about 10cents a run but replacing the engine is a little more costly...
Every KERS system is going to be slightly different. BMW are using an electric solution with a generator and electric motor powered by an energy storage module. The complete system will weigh under 40kg.
The new F1 package may be baby but Ill suspect youll find the lap times are hardly F3 like. Its only the rear wing Im finding weird.
http://ferrari09-http.weebo.it/Ferrari_ready_eng/vt.html
The front wing is huge though as well, but yeah the rear wing is strange. Wing mirrors have to be usable as well now so you will see them all way off to the sides and Gone are most of the sticky out bits on the body now.
The speeds wont be f3 like but it will be interesting to see how many seconds a lap slower they actually end up being
Changes explained....
