Title: If you had £2k - £3k...
Post by: soopahfly on March 01, 2008, 12:56:04 PM
What would you buy and why.

Im thinking something reasonably sensible to replace both the Delica and the Cinq.
Up to 5 years old.

100% not interested in anything with the BMW logo, unless its a Brooklyn Machine Works.

Been looking at A3s but you get a dog for this much.
Currently autotrader lists plenty of Fociis and Astras.

I could afford to run one, as I run a more thirsty mitsubishi atm.  Just dont want one.  No point in swapping a proper 4x4 for a fakie.

Id still say go Japanese for reliability at that price range. As you say its too little to go German and not expect a bit of a dog.

Changed job, starting work at Plusnet end of this month.
Still going to do my other work but can probably just about walk round the site, or borrow my dads hilux.

I would get something like a Triumph Tiger, KTM Adventure or one of the old BMW Funduro Dakars.

Would do me for awhile methinks ;)
