Hi all...finally had the tints done and new intercooler today so the car is pretty much finished - maybe a chin spoiler and roof spoiler but thats it.
Im pretty pleased with the finished product now - 320bhp/310lb-ft, might remap it later as should be another 10-20 bhp there..
...and no carbon fibre in sight !

Im sure mechanically its bloody great but i just dont like the look at all.

What pimpage? An insult deserves an explanation.
If it was indeed "pimped" it would have an unnecessary rear spoiler, chrome wheels, graphics, undue lowering and the like. I see nothing of the sort.
Im not a big fan of window tinting, but in this case, as the front windows were left out, it works out nicely.
foresters are quite distinctive.
i like it :) but i would prolly save my money for an rs6 :)

They sing, Im a lumberjack and Im OK!
OK, Ill get my coat :P
Thats ok mate - not many people would argue the Forester is a pretty car !
It certainly wouldnt win any beauty competitions but theres enough hint of agression there to place a seed of doubt in the hot hatch brigade as I pull up beside them at the lights
Especially when they hear the flat four rumble building to a roar as I hit 60 in sub 5 seconds and leave them for dust ;)

Yep - had them a while, Prodrive PFF7s - brilliant wheels, very light too.
Not me Im afraid mate although I did live in Newcastle for about 5 years some time ago :)
I never could see the attraction of spending Ã,£Ã,£Ã,£ on big wheels and unecessarily low profile rubber to keep them the same diameter as the original wheels when steel rims (That are the correct size and what the suspension is set up for) do the job just nicely, and are usually a good deal lighter anyway - but thats just me...

lol not as much aggression as a turbo diesel minibus! :D lol..
Pulled up at the lights next to an Aston Martin Vantage. Our noise... outdid their noise :D BBBRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!! :D
I say get it lowered, if youre not going to take it off road, or get it with higher profile rubber.
I think the gap between the tyre and the arch looks silly.
I dont really agree with getting low profile rubber and nice alloys on a 4x4, Id say make it into a monster truck with a row of spot lights on the top and get the suspension raised with HIGH profile rubber. Now thatd look sweet!
High profile grips much better as well - look at F1 cars

If you lowered it it would just look like an ugly car, rather than the SUV it is!
I like it mate, very tidy. Would love one of them myself.
Jaimz
How much does it weigh? Im guessing with an engine pumping thoose specs it doesnt really matter :)
Im agreeing with most people get a higher profile tyre or lower it more one of the two. A lot better than the Scoobie and glad you never took the Carbon Fibre route :)
According to VBH on top gear the Forester is 70kg heavier than the Impreza STi.
I agree it would look better a bit lower but I dont want to slam it down to the ground...I am toying with the idea of getting a set of Forester Sti Pink Springs from Japan which would drop it another 20mm or so..
20mm will more than likely make the distance it needs to just get it that bit much more smarter :)
