Some friends moved to Australia recently and one of them left his bike here for me to have, the only problem is his other half used and abused it a bit before they went and it was left out in the rain for two months overnight and things like that, so its in need of some tender loving care. I really dont want to just chuck it as I understand its a rather expensive bike and was the best part of £1000 when it was bought, so if possible Id like to repair it.
The rear brakes are locked and the front ones dont work, and there are a few spots of surface rust. The chain is rusted to hell as are various bits of steel dotted all over the place but aside from that it looks okay, so Im assuming new brakes at the very minimum. Having never really bothered with bikes in my life other than when I was a kid is this a repair job I can attempt myself and how much will it set me back, or is there anywhere I can take it to have it given an overhaul?
can of wd40 & spray everything that moves
worked for me as a kid :w00t:
TBH, if its been outside for a while, its going to need a complete strip down and rebuild.

Click the bits on the bike and it will tell you how to fix them (Obviously pimping their very expensive tools)
