Is anyone with Direct Line for their car insurance?? As mine is due to get renewed very soon, and they are the cheapest up to now. Are they ok etc?? Im currently with Elephant, and have always been helpful when Ive emailed/phoned them. Also, with most insurance companies they ask where its going to be parked over night etc, but with Direct Line they dont seem to ask/say where it is going to be.......?
Unlike most insurance companies, Direct Line are an underwriter and by going to them you cut out the middle man - their service is spot on usually. They dont like Jap imports much though.
Admiral is another of the big names, I think Hastings and Elephant are part of Admirals group.
Cool, cheers for the input :)
Ive decided not to change my car now until im 25, and the insurace is cheaper.

Im 26 now and it made
some difference to me when I hit 25 but not as much as I thought it would :(
I wouldnt let it stop you getting another car if you can afford/want one :)
Me and my sis are both with DL, theyre cheap as chips.
Really matt? I thought it would. TBH, im quite poor at the moment, so cant really afford the Jap car I want anyway....so will have to wait a bit anyway if im sensible.
Anyone know about the parking situation?
try quinn direct, theyre quite cheap
Direct Line ftw, tbh.
I have all my policies with them - insurance up the yin-yang.
Shame they dont insure against sh*t ISPs (http://www.nildram.net) like Nildram
Chunter, chunter....
with DL for my car and home insurance. Always been great value - never had to claim yet though!
Paid last night with DL. Was £567 fully comp compared to £666 with Elephant who Im currently with and who were 2nd cheapest :nana:
