David and Leigh Eddings are very well known fantasy writers, earlier books are good, latest series are pap.
Shame about the damage but it was his own fault.
that is hilarious.
lol
I once pulled a fuel line while holding a ciggie. Luckily the ciggie wasnt enough to light it - the petrol just soaked it.
heh, hell just throw another 3 or 4 books out next month to pay for a new house.

Hes got quite a bit stashed away from 27 best sellers ;)

Yeah, and since The Mallorean they have had only 2 blips on the radar, Belgarath The Sorceror and Polgara The Sorceress, they are a bit one trick pony writers.
Between them and Robert"Unit Shifter"Jordan I cant decide which irritate me more. Great starts, but they became victims of Stephen King syndrome.
The Latest ones went completely down hill. Totally formulaic, ridiculously repetitive and the baddies (the Vlagh) had no chance of winning from the start. Example do a search on here for The Treasured One...

...Note Im the only person to have actually bothered to review the tripe ... and its still a best seller!
I tried reading those, borrowed them off a mate. I gave up about halfway through the 1st book. It was terrible.
At the moment im on Trudi Canavan, shes actually a damned good writer. Another im still into is Barbera Hambly. Though my now published author mate doesnt rate Hambly hes agreed to take a look at Canavan on my recommendation.
Second book is worse than the first, third about equal and the fourth picks up a bit.
Overall I would not suggest anyone except a diehard fan bothers reading them.
When my mates dad filled his bike with diesel ( ) he and his dad spent ages lighting fuel to see if it was petrol, diesel, or a mixture of both
I expect they had the good sense to do it away from anything important though
