What do people think of warriors? Ive got it in my head again that I want to change my car.......and was thinking about one of these. It wouldnt be the new L200, as I cant afford that, but something like a 55 plate one....in black, with all the roll bars etc.
Or stupid idea?? I dont need a truck type vehicle, but just fancy a big 4x4, and I think they look good. Are they expensive to run etc?
mate of mine has one - he gets about 16/17mpg
not much room inside - and its really bouncy, and incredibly bad handling
look ok though
apparently theyre really sh*t for safety, but they do look pimp with all the gubbins on them

Expensive to run, poor handling. You would be much better off with something more practical.
Interested in a Mitsubishi Delica L400?

Buy mine, get a big suspension lift and 30+" tyres and your laughing,
No its ok, Ill pass on that cheers soopahfly.
Didnt realise they gave such poo MPG to be honest. I didnt expect the best handling from them, but just liked the look of them tbh......Although if theyre going to be expensive I may pass on it.
Its nowhere near as bad as the Yankee ones on MPG (up to 30mpg seems a possibility) but theres the other running costs too.
Mostly I dont see the point in buying a pickup unless its necessary for work, the back certainly isnt secure, anything you put in it is available for theving gits to aquire. Unless its for your business you are usually better off with an estate.
I thought about one of these, then looked at other models.
Isuzu Rodeo is worth a look at that budget.
I had an Newish L200 for work a while back when ours was inthe garage for some bodywork. Decent enough thing, but horrible on fuel. The older one we had for work did 30ish to the gallon on a 2.5TD. The one i had was lucky to get 25 if i was REALLY light on my foot, and wasnt carrying anything heavy. If you dont want something fast, and you dont mind driving around in what is effectively a commercial vehicle with a bit more comfort youd be fine. Its just the running costs that are crippling.
Sod it then, if its going to cost a lot to run I wont bother.
