Title: Lotus Elan
Post by: DEViANCE on September 30, 2007, 18:10:39 PM
Anyone got any experience of Lotus Elans?

Noticed they are in my budget for a weekend car, but have heard horrible things about older lotus reliablity.

I guess parts are problematic etc and they are only 1600cc and an izusu engine at that so not particularly quick?

i think ive just talked myself out it allready but anyone else think anything?

If you want a little soft top why not go for a mgf or dare I say a mx5? Youd get way more for your money.

205 CTi?

1.6 or 1.9 8Valve engines and convertible. Some also have an electric roof.

just my opinion i guess, but the k-series is perfect for light weight sporty cars, esspecially the vvc.

sdp, ive already said the 5 is a better car, but i dont like the look of them particularly.

tbh I think the tf looks better than a mkII 5, but the mkI 5 looks bestest. Pop-up headlights are awesome.

Its just when you sit in a mg.. I really wanted to like them but I was dead disappointed.

someone is trying to stop me finding a car!

just tried to get insured on a 944 Lux, they wouldnt even consider me because of my age.

they are only 165bhp, i could get a mondeo or rover 75 with more power than that!

stupid insurance!
