Great game! The Iranians played a pretty decent game in the first half, considering their standing, but Mexico finally turned on the juice in the second half after they threw in a couple amped substitutes. It was a very physical and exciting match, most fun to watch so far.
Anybody else catch this one?

Watched most of this one while ironing this weeks shirts for work, the excitement of my life is unbearable I tells ye!
Decent game though, the iranians were technically better than I expected they might be, but the mexicans had too much speed of thought and feet in the end, the last goal by the Little Bird was a really great piece of football.
Shouldnt the Iranians be forced to play in burkhas by the faith police? It might lead all the girls back home astray watching their legs

Help what? I and every other christian had loads of christian jokes shoved down our throats on the old forums by Ice Kay and we accepted it but any jokes involving muslims arent?
A lot of women out there are forced to wear the burkha or at least a head scarf that covers the face as it is which is where I was coming from, more Ironic than anything else.
Give the Iranian players a break. Theyve shown themselves to be gracious sportsmen. Its not like I called the Mexicans beaners.
Im not getting at the Iranian players, they played well enough, Im getting at their faith police ;)

erm, funny as in radiation sickness funny, me thinks... it wasnt anything to do with the iranian/muslim thing, it just wasnt funny... :) ;)
was a good game tbh....
though the iranian defender was a complete spaz just before mexicos second goal
aside from that both sides seemed to play well
