Anyone know how the mobile speed cameras work? The ones in the vans.
I was coming out of a 60zone into a 30zone and was probably going from 40 to 30 about 10 yards after the 30sign, then i look up and see a mobile camera van looking straight at me. DOH!
It was about 200yards+ away from me. anyone know what their range is and how they calcualte if you where speeding etc.

I think most are based on laser technology these days, have a mile range, and can give a speed reading as soon as he can get you in his sights and press the trigger... :shock:

They wait till you pass, pull down your trousers and screw you to the windscreen...
Some places are notoriously easy to get caught and vans should be easily visible.
they will also do you for sticking your fingers up at them.
they have proof that you arent in control of the vehicle and can do you for dangerous driving/driving without due care.
my mate at uni has been done doing that.
on a side note....
was in a taxi getting a lift home last week and the driver guy had a road angle stuck to the windscreen.... and loves it
he has 9 points, and his misus has 9 for him too.... hasnt been cought since he got it tho !
gunna get myself one i think :)
anly bad thing is sticking it to the windscreen every time... cant leave it there or itll get nicked :(

Thats good that... feel safe in a taxi that the driver has been done 8 times over for speeding. Great stuff there.
Im easy as long as they dont make me drop my cheesy chips.... anyone messes with my cheesy chips and Id oplen up a family sized can of woop ass on there candy ass
