Looking at getting something smallish, reliable and nippy. Max budget is about £5k seeing as were not buying a house yet.
Delica is too thirsty and the Cinq is just a buzz box.
So far found 2001/2002 Ford Puma 1.7 Thunder with satnav, leather and about 38k fsh for about 4.5k.
Any other suggestions?
small, reliable and nippy is difficult
Toyotal Glanza turbo?
Or for that money youre into tried and tested 200SX S14a territory
Id go Japanese for sure, although you could maybe get a a solid A3 for that money.
how important is economy?
54/05 Renault Clio 1.5 dci 80 is my next purchase.
£20 py tax, 67mpg, IG4
the mother in law has one and it pretty nice to be in, plenty of poke and fun in the corners.
Yaris T-Sport thrown into the mix. Not interested in french or diesel. With the cost of diesel I dont think it would work out that more economical with the price per mile.
A3s seem to be over priced, would consider a golf or a skoda, but she wouldnt.
If it was just for me, itd be 200sx or MR2 Tubby but shes not interested.
The womenfolk should never be allowed a say in car choices, just as we would less likely get a choice in the carpets and curtains.
Superman the ho, and get your 200sx
