Im looking at getting some new leathers with black/blue colouring, along with a blue helmet and black & blue boots.

If i buy a motorbike that isnt blue (ie a red and white r1) am i going to look like a total prune or is it likely to be more subtle than my imagination suggesting.

I dont really want to be boring and get black leathers to play it safe!

What a strange question!

Serious

Youll look a total prune, get the bike first and then leathers to suit ;)

Better to avoid dark colours as they dont show up as good at night, red/white is a much more visible combination.

all black, theres no other way to go

Nothing worse than someone on an R1 with R1 leathers etc

But surely looking good comes before safety?!

I would agree that buying lighter colours makes you alot more visable at night, personally I would go for all black or wait till you get the bike and buy to match. For visability you could easily keep a hi-viz hardness under the seat and wack that on if riding at night (will do alot more for you than lighter leathers)

hi-vis belt/strap has an added bonus - people will think youre a peeler.

Most awesome for cycling. :)
