Ive narrowed it down to these two, and Im having a real hard time deciding;

The MR2 is in great condition and looks bad ass but the 5 is convertible and much cheaper to insure (Ã,£200 less) & run, and its a nice car to be inside of. I gotta choose tomorrow morning.
Both colours look way better in real life.
MX5 is an awful colour :gag:
they really both k reg?
Both K reg, the 5 aint nearly as garish as it looks in that pic.
The eunos/mx5 is the way to go here.
The MR2 cant live up to its looks unless its a turbo really, which that isnt :-)
Open top driving for Ã,£200 less, thats cheaper to run to boot? and you needed to put a poll on here to decide? ;)
I agree, do with the 5.
I love the MR2 range but tbh that colour is nasty, go with the 5 :)
Besides the 5 is a great little puller ;)

My mom has an MX5, youd look gay in it.
Gonna have another look now, but Im leaning towards the toni & guymobile.
voted mr2 just on looks alone, the blue paint and stuck/painted on front number plate do the MX5 no favours, altho theres space for a hairdryer and comb in the back...

Rolf, so which ones that then ? I thought they both came fitted out with a salon ;) :P
There is a black MX5 in the garage just up the road. Its a K reg and on the forcourt for Ã,£4295 !
just saw an exact same mx5 as that one but a j reg, parked opposite a kids school.
The colour isnt as bad as i thought but still definately not something i would pick TBH. But then again i wouldnt want the mr2 either :?
Defintely prefer the MR2. I have sat in both and driven that mk MR2 and i much prefered the MR2. Also prefer the style too.
my tuppance worth :)
Zak
I prefer the look and the image of the MR2, but I know having driven one I know that the MX-5 is fantastic to drive. Bit of a quandry, but of the two Idtake the MX-5 - topdown goodness.

MR2 for me
Im surprised the poll is so close, I thought the mr2 would rinse it.
Ive found a supposedly mint mx5 so Im gonna look tonight, I got bad vibes about the other one, it looked a bit mess close up.
MX5, tho first thing I would do is throw it in the garage and get the steering rack, drive shaft and allighment looked at. Anyone that knows a experienced mx5 driver will say its all about perfect allighment :)
Much history on both the cars?

Nah man, I love the mr2 obviously, and can vouch for the reliability and yadda yadda, but I hear the same about the mx5, and tbh unless its a turbo mr2 I doubt the performance figures are going to be miles apart.
Im sure you will know whats right when you find the right car, good luck with the mx5 youre going to look at tonight, if you didnt know a lot of good examples here

MX5, as its an honest little roadster, that unlike the Austin Healys of yore, is a dependable little car. The MR2 is arguably a better handling car because of the engine layout, yadda yadda bing bong, but its not as pleasant as the MX5 for normal use.
the mr2s look alot better, but i think the drive of the mx5 would win it for me. although i wouldnt buy either, im sure you can workout what MR roadster i would favour.
i to am surprised the MR2 hasnt just thrashed the poll, its a real car with the engine in the middle.. what more could you want
omg I just drove the mx5, its bloody quick for a 1.6
Its the one at the top of the page (http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/cars_search.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=MAZDA&model=MX-5&variant=&keywords=&min_pr=75&max_pr=3000&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=gu8+5sd&miles=40&max_records=50&source=0&photo=1&sort=4&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH)
Picking it up tomorrow night :)
looks cool, you will have to get some decent pics up as am not convinced on the colour yet :P
you look at any Fs?
I went to look at one but the bloke at the garage had taken it out for the day so I walked away.
Looks smart geezer, hope you enjoy it
Just be ready to brush aside any gay and hairdresser comments, its not your fault that other people are insecure with their own sexuality
A single black offset racing stripe would masculinize it pronto. That, and hang a pair of brass balls from the rear view mirror. Enjoy it, theyre very fun. They feel like youve got all ya need, no more, and unless you live in Deutschland, who cares about the top end. :P

ah you fell foul of an MX.. addictive  couldnt stop going out in my MX-3 when I got it... 9months down the line I still couldnt stop finding B roads :D
Its all about the man/machine as one thing with the MX-5, which regardless of how many BHP is why is so flippin good, the first corner and it slaps a bit smile on your face I bet as the wheel & nicely balanced chassis communicates to you!
It handles superbly, the bloke just had 4 wheel alignment done on it, needs a supercharger tho tbh :)
Already had a limp wrist directed at me :D
