edit: my toys are out the pram.
My mom drives one. brand new convertable one. So im going to say womens :D
Im going to remain neutral. Anything with more poke than my Clio in essence should not be girly.
Having said that, my Clio is more masculine than other girly hatchbacks. Only real men can use the heavy clutch and it takes man strength to turn the non-power assisted steering wheel. GRR!

Nah it doesnt bother me at all and I do long hours of driving.
The missus was in it for 5 minutes driving to Sainsburys and couldnt cope
MX-5s have a womans car image, but they really are a eithers, underneath
Lightweight, pokey and rear wheel drive with excellent weight distribution
A really genuine drivers car if you ask me, its all about feedback and the driver/car "as one" thing - no computers, the car just does as you tell it when you tell it.
cant beat that kind of thing down a country lane
Having owned an MX-3 (the one that never really took off, huh  ) I must say I love the "MX" thing - you have to have the smile surgically removed from your face after hackin down a country road in one - the 5 is slightly lighter, and slightly more powerful and RWD - I imagine its quite a bit better than the 3
if they didnt have that seriously ghei image, id have one later today :P
supposed to be nice cars, but i think theyre a womans car, to be honest...
A genuine drivers car but somehow also manages to be womans car.
I put mans car, quite simply because RWD is not for girls ;)
But if there was a both option I would have chose that straight away.
Cars dont have genders you ignrnt whippersnappers.
If the MX5 is somehow "gay" or "girly" then Id say the entire UK has a bit of song and dance in them, as yall spent several decades buiding similar roadsters.
Its a damn fine car and fun to drive, but if youre a dude, it helps to grow a set of balls and get over yourself before engaging first gear.
max you are right, i would drive one.
but then again i dont care :)

Im of the opinion that anyone that drives a car less powerful has no right to claim the car girly, its plain jealousy really and pretty stupid. If it has more power, it is more manly than your car, simple.
Id drive a pink sparkly Ferrari quite happily as Im sure anyone without a penis complex would.
The main reason I wont buy an MX-5 is this:
;)
its pretty much at the top of the list, when it comes to "My next car"
its got about 100bhp more than the MX-5 (websites vary, but between 237 / 246 / enough  ) it does 9000rpm and is also Rear Wheel Drive. it also benefits from an electric roof, something lacking in the MX-5 (excluding the new one, launched last November)
The Honda misses the boat. The MX5 is a roadster. If you want a sports car, get that. Or alternately get the MX5 and those balls I mentioned.
Gorgeous :)
Im still in 2 minds about the mx-5, ok you can say it dont matter but theres still a prevalent hairdressers car opinion of it, and Im shallow enough not to want that image. But then its a very elegant car, and if the handlings as good as it looks from the passenger seat itd be a nice step up.

I know someone who use to drive one & thought it was a great little car - then again the guy seemed to manage to wear a lot of pink shirts & so clearly wasnt bothered about driving a hairdressers car. - he did tend to pull a lot of girls and given that girls tend to know feck all about cars then driving an mx5 isnt really much of an issue tbh...

good choice tbh..
I want one too!
Gread handling cars apparently, but they do suffer from a girly reputation. To overcome that, purchase a turbo kit for it

Sure the s2000 is lovely, but you can pick up an mx5/eunos for absolute peanuts nowadays.
I dont really care what people think about what you drive, obviously, as I drive a gold mr2

Driving one of those just says my cock isnt big enough while an MX5 says I dont care what you think driving this is fun :)
^^ that whole small dick thing is bullsh*t
jealousy tbh.

I seen a couple of blokes driving those hondas, and while theyre fantastic cars you look a complete twat in them; theres a nobby aura about the car. Id rather look a bit girly in an mx-5 tbh.
Open to offers on the mini, yes Ill get the brakes done properly - found a mini specialist today :)

50p? Or do you just want sensible offers?
One of my brothers mates came over in his newly restored mini (bought from a scrappy for Ã,£50 originally) absolutely beautiful car. The bucket seats were a bit over the top for my liking but the engine sounded brilliant and it had a rather spiffy walnut(esque perhaps) dash.

No, thats one of these:

The S2000 is Honda showing off what they can do, and a damn good car because of it:
QuoteHonda created the S2000 to mark the companys 50th year. The rear wheel drive platform continued in the tradition of the cars predecessors, S600 and S800 in spite of the fact that most Honda vehicles manufactured today use front-wheel drive. Power is delivered via a Torsen limited slip differential mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
The S2000 is constructed using an X-bone monocoque frame that is extremely rigid, thus improving handling, road noise, and steering feel and feedback. Other features included double wishbone suspension, electronically-assisted steering, integrated roll hoops and an electric top that takes 6 seconds to operate, touted as the fastest opening top among all convertibles.
The normally aspirated engine in the S2000 produces more power per litre, than some turbocharged engines youll find in the likes of your vauxhalls, volkswagens, and many many others.
again I completely agree with snellgrove
the s2000 is simply a fantastic car - tis the boxter* that is driven by salesmen & estate agents who live in essex because they cant afford london after spunking half thier salary on payments for a new car.
*although the boxter is also a great car

see poll title.
hes got all in a huff that we have ruined his thread, by discussing roadsters and various other cars (golly!)
No, had a stressful day n someone (quite rightly, in hindsight) edited my poll options.
QuoteOr do you just want sensible offers?
Ive been offered 1,600 but I said no deal.
Are all Eunos ones imports?
Eunos = Import, yes.
