Title: Nationwide stockist of Biodiesel
Post by: soopahfly on February 01, 2008, 09:07:40 AM
Speedy Hire are starting to stock biodiesel, currently at £0.80p/l.

Not sure if its inc or ex vat, but if you need to add vat on top its still only 94p/l

From what ive read on forums, after your first few tankfulls, you need to change your fuel filter, as the bio part cleans a load of crap out the engine.
After that, your fine.

Its because its a good solvent, it cleans the muck from the system and you may need to change the filter depending on the age of your vehicle.

You will need to change the filter more regularly depending on how well the stuff is made.

Anyone who tries to tell you it will damage the engine as it has less lubricity than diesel is talking absolute bullsh*t.

Bio is ADDED to low sulphur diesel to improve its lubricity

Ive been running cars on it before I went SVO for about 220,000 miles or so in total. Been using it for 11 years

"only" 94p/l?  Jesus, could get Dino Diesel for less than that last year.

Bio works on anything

It all depends on how well it is made though, if it is badly made, it will wreck rings round it.

If it is properly made, it is a better fuel than diesel

nope, for that price the tax will have had the tax paid on it all ready, so its good foe anyone/anything :)

tho... its even better when you know someone who makes it and sells it by the IBC.. (1000litres)

not that Im sugesting you could buy one legit so you have some paperwork.. then buy the next ones for cash tax free :o
