Drives really well, needs a little work/tidying up, traded the merc for it.
Looks good, nice cars.
I would make a hair dresser joke but even your number plate almost says Hair Style.
Thats a really nnice looking Boxster, Im envious :yarr:
it drives really well and sounds amazing
give it a few years and ill upgrade to a 911
which engine is it?
Grats, nice car.
You know what they say about people with a boxter though? hehe
its a 2.5 Flat 6, 204bhp when new, probably lost a few by now
Not tempted to get a supercar then?
looks nice.... porsche always sounds good when you;re chatting to a bird ;)

I bet youll be wanting to step up to the 3.2 S in no time at all.

Never afford the insurance

Dunno about that, heard mixed reviews on that, cant enjoy them as much, can already break the speed limit in very little time as it is.

So your new car is a porch? ;)
nice - the only prob is if you need some parts some are permanently out of production!
Whos parked a Porsche infront of your new Volvo 440? Id tell them to get that thing off your driveway!!

well thatll be a royal pain in the rump. hopefully ill not need any that are, surely some other parts manufacturers are rolling out pattern parts tho? can already get the rads and brakes from eurocarparts
Boxters have been in production for a long time so there should be good availability of most parts. Dont expect originals to be cheap though.
I recall something with the 2.5 - Ill find out later - I do remember an incident a friend had a while ago involving having to buy a complete engine
I think as long as youre well under 100k miles on the 2.5 its grand
Is that the 2.5 or the 2.7?
Im sure you wont have any issues though as theyll likely have been sorted by now - there were a load of recalls and failures on the 2.5 - but - again - its likely been seen to already.
Great handling cars though - much better than a Calibra!!
its a 2.5 and the cars on 106k miles
They suffered from:
RMS failure
IMS failure
D chunking (cylinder lining collapse)
to name but a few, im well aware of what im getting into, if the engine fails the car will either be stripped or laid up till an engine can be sourced from salvage or something, or if im feeling very brave ill drop it and tear it down myself to rebuild.. that would be a hell of a job though.
Since its old and seen many miles i expect as you say its been sorted for most things.
Certainly very different to the calibra, its amazing how much feedback there is through the steering, how confident it is in the bends and how easily it just winds up the speedo without feeling like its really trying, and all the while its sounding amazing.
I have a 2.7 engine - except for manifolds and injection with 65k on it, so drop me a line if it ever goes pear shaped!

Cheers ill keep that in mind
Tidy, looks good in Silver. Try not to crash this one cos youll probably be doing enough speed to do some real damage :p
Jaimz
Smart car. But how old are you now? Must be making a fair wack working or just taking out silly loans for the amount of money you spend on motors. (Im just jealous of you being able to spend that kind of cash)

Go back a bit more than 2000 and you should be able to pick one up easily for well under £10K. OK, a good bit more than the average tightwad on here wants to spend, but affordable. What might be a killer is the insurance group, 19?...
I would imagine its because he trades up - not dear to do that.
the honest truth? i took a loan out to buy a range rover when things were good, and have dropped down a couple of times with trade ins. Got a few ££ back on one and had to pay a few ££ on top of the part ex to get the boxster, they are group 17 or 18 insurance depending on where you ask and can be hard for not much over £7k
overall i have lost in depreciation but if i had hung onto the range rover id be in the same place anyway
oh and im 24
Thats not bad going at all really.
At 24 the Insurance is going to be a stinger and a half I guess.
Still nice car :)
