Post by: Binary Shadow on April 07, 2007, 20:52:52 PM
Last 2 days of this great long weekend and im stuck without anything to drive..

The damn land rover security has locked the 4.6 powerplant on my range rover and iv got no way of starting it :( booo

bloody 2nd hand cars and the lack of paperwork and spare keys.

Ironically i was in the dealer ordering a spare on wednesday  bit late tho now!

Hurried phone calls on tuesday to sort it out and busing to work i guess :(

It all happens for a reason I think. Maybe youll be on the bus and you might meet a special woman.

Although that is one thing I miss about being on the busses, I did meet some interesting women :P

But now, I have met a woman, actually through My Space and we had just been on the 2nd date today and things are going really well :D

Sorry thread hijack :P I just had to tell some one and I forgot I had a blog, honest

Just to rub it in a bit

That does really suck though BS, how did it lock it out exactly. Congrats to you mr_roll, I hope it continues to go well :)

You cant really read the plate completely anyway... As a side, those Proxes grip like proper badass mofos. I took some corners up Woodhead pass that would otherwise have killed me and lived. Still love those Kosei rims too  :D

how? the remote became un syncd with the car (musta lent on the buttons a few times or sommit when outta range of the car) and so now i can only unlock with the key, but that doesnt turn the immobiliser off :( arse!

My dads rova did something like that, except instead of the immobiliser it was the alarm. Great fun at 6am every morning.

£80 for a new doo-daa it was.

My car has an immobiliser but no remote/key or anything for it. My insurance needs one that is Thatcham 2 and it seems Im going to have to get someone to look at it and probably replace it too.

They seem to be a PITA.

Toyo Proxes T1-R. Whether the difference is more noticable because the wear is even and all four corners are the same tyre brand, I dont know. But I know 60mph coming out of roundabouts can be achieved.

I tried the T1-Rs - they were ok, but the fronts that I have on now are much, much better (Eagle F1s) - there is too much flex in the toyos.

I have T1-Rs on mine, good tyre, happlily get hoofed by my rod without moaning :)

TBH eagles may be a bit better, but afaik they cost a lot lot more  :?

Got T1-Rs on my car too - theyre great in the dry but rather disappointing in the wet. Would go back to the Michelin Pilot Exaltos that were on them before for all-weather grip anyday.
