Particularly like the Mk1 Golf, the Green Mk4, the BMW at the end :)

I can understand "Rat look" but not really sure why youd have a nice car and make the bonnet rusty.
Some of those older ones did look good though.

Actually, picture 23 is okay. Not my cup of tea but I can understand the rusted chic of the thing. All of the ones who just do the bonnet scream "Im a cock with too much time on my hands."

Google = Rat look but don ;t look at any euro sites. The original Rat loook of muscles cars is what started this

lol those pictures make laugh, the brand new golfs were the best, shiney everywhere except the bonnet, it just looks ridiculous.
if youre going to rat look a car it only works on old cars and then it has to be the WHOLE car, not just a friggin roof rack and rusted bonnet

Its not even rat look, its shat look.

I cant understand this dub scene - theyre just normal, common cars. VWs are nothing special. There are millions of them.

All the modified ones also look the same - lowered too much, with stretched tyres, on euro rims - and the ubiquitous pressed plates.

If the owners want so badly to be german - why dont they wear lederhosen whilst driving them ?

I think one of Marks nerves has been touched with the rat "style"

I personally think that cars like that are alright looking, I wouldnt do it to mine as I like a nice shiny car. I wouldnt mind seeing that on a Porka 911 Turbo though!

Not really they dont all look the same, as far as the dub scene goes new things are being done day in, day out to try and out do the next person. As far as the scene goes its the only car scene in the UK that I know of that isnt full of idiotic kids with too much money or just complete charv scum. I love my old dubs and wouldnt have it any other way.

you are biased however
and i have to agree with mark, all modded VWs seem to have small euro rims with stretched tyres, those pressed plates and every panel is smooth

Yeah but thats what you see of the VDub Scene, not really what I and most others see of it.

But yeah those mods are over done, pressed plates just aint cool anymore and smoothed panels are really on the Mk4/Mk5 Golfs more than anything. I know Im biased, Ive had my taste of the French side of things and the French modification scene is just as bad as those kids that go around in Corsas.
