QuoteThe FA Cup holders owe a staggering £60m and fear a £25m loss this season alone. The Fratton Park club's accounts are now dominated by a wage bill that swallows up almost £60m of the club's annual turnover of just over £65m.

As Sam would doubtless tell you that is no way to run a club, especially not when they have £20million in transfer fees to pay coming up.

Yup, youre screwed to the wall there.

Down we go again...

Footballs got too big though, dont you think?  Player fees and, as a consequence, gate fees are just ridiculous.

They are just being paid what the market will bear.

Yes
In Europe they dont have this problem, because any team in debt are kicked out the division.

There are only about 3 premiership clubs that have zero debt. Chelsea, Arsenal & Man Utd are millions in debt.

Its about time UEFA done somthing european wide & introduced a salary cap system based on turnover.

Well you do wonder if a man is being paid £100K + that he should be completing 100% of his tasks say what, 95% successfully.  Whether it be a free kick, or penalty or wide as your mums backside oppurtunity.  It does get a bit silly.  All this foreign money flooding in over the last 5(?) years hasnt helped.

Wheres the joy in actually playing football in players anymore?
