Title: Redex
Post by: Clock'd 0Ne on May 15, 2010, 12:25:44 PM
I have a quarter or so of a redex (petrol) bottle left.

Can I whack this in my 325tds alongside the veg oil im using for improved SuperTurboPower and HyperClean?

it might react with the veg oil :o

if you mix engine oil and veg oil, and then heat it up, it turns to horrible black gunk, a bit like the stuff that sticks to the bottom of your frying pan when you fry bacon....

which is why you should do extra oil changes if youre running veg oil ;)

Veg oil and diesel run a lot hotter and have a higher compression ratio than Petrol. As they produce an entirely different additive for diesel I would suggest you act cautiously, you might cause more harm than good. Generously donate whats left in the bottle to a friend.
