i dont think its fitting enough :(
You cant do tribute to the man with a Suburu fitted with a few grands of sports kit and some pretty alloys :disappointed:
Should have called it the RiceBoy320
Proceeds are going to the Richard Burns foundation, cant bash them for that.

What did you expect them to do - release a new model ?

I know it sounds harsh but at the end of the day it was 1 man, if you or I die from cancer i doubt thered be any mention let alone a whole special edition car brought out tbh your expecting too much from a company.

Thats admirable, aside from the publicity they will reap from it regardless.
Its not the choice of car so much, I dont think any car can really pay homage to someone. If it was a totally capitalist tool that would be even worse.
Id have that. Then Id go looking for Bartop

Pah - you might find me but with a paltry 320ps and 332 lbs you wouldnt catch me  ;)
My take on it is this - did Honda release any special Joey Dunlop edition bikes when he died? He was a lot more famous and around for a lot longer than Richard Burns. I think it devalues the person, and makes the company look like theyre cashing in.
Surely it would be quicker than the Forester due to less weight and drag?

I was kidding.. ;)
..in the 5th gear test recently though they reckoned the Impreza Sti was only a second quicker round the track than the Forester Sti which has less power than mine...not bad for a big ol barge
but 5th gear is sh*t.

Lol - tell me, Ive only watched it twice, once for the Foz / Sti shootout and for the new Impreza Type 25 the other week..
Do you sleep with a Forester shaped pillow by any chance?

No, dont be silly, that would be ridiculous...
I do sleep in the Forester though

Its his whole bed, not just the pillow

That would be cool, a car thats cut out and has a bed in it. You could use the seats to make your 3 piece suite out of too!!
Oh and I think they should have given the car atleast 420PS! and basically let their engineering dept run wild. Maybe 500hp, wider tyres to put the power down, bigger arches, MORE aggressive front, I still think it looks like a bit of a cuddly toy.
