I just got this car last week, I spent Ã,£55 on a new battery for it and now today the driver side suspension has collapsed, front and back. The other side is fine;

Is that going to be expensive to fix? Is it hydrolastic?
 :x
Yes, the bumper is loose too   :cry:
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Beaker

probably gas filled.  Local rover specialist should sort it

knighty

its odd that its front and back, it thought it had springs :o

nah

sided hydrolatics

Pete

bah, just been reading up;

Hydra sphere = Ã,£150+vat each.
Connecting pipe = Ã,£50-100 each.
Refill = Ã,£30-50.

Worst case scenario isnt good.

Bloody rover sh*te

Doubt youll need it all changing though
Gassing up seems to be expensive

Pete

Im guessing somethings failed - it happened pretty suddenly.

DEViANCE

either one of the units has failed or the connecting pipe has broken. front and back are linked one each side. should be pretty easy to see what has failed as the will be juice everywhere.

it is a very, very rare occurance.

DEViANCE

where did you get those prices from? i think they are abit off

Id say its the connecting pipe.

Sounds rather odd. Just dealt with struts myself, and though theyre expensive, you can still drive the car when theyre worn.

That Rover sounds a bit dire if you decide to drive into a concrete barrier. :lol:

DEViANCE

lol!!! for some reason sales dried up after that pic was published.

i think the handling more than makes up for though. Took one for its MOT today and giving it the thrashing of its life before was great fun.

Binary Shadow

 :shock:  hell that car looks.... well horrifically unsafe lol

what speed was that crash at?

DEViANCE

just dont crash into a concrete barrier at 60mph :p
